Today I’m taking a look at the Nuvo Precision Blender Brushes and have some cards to share using them.
The Precision Blender Brushes are densely packed with fine cream coloured bristles, which are very soft to the touch.
All featuring easy to hold handles, making them comfortable to use when working with a range of different mediums.
The brushes are available in two different packs.
There is a pack with two oval head brushes, in different sizes. The other pack contains four brushes with a variety of smaller shaped heads, perfect for detailed areas.
For my cards today, I’m using the Precision Blender Brushes with the Nuvo Hybrid inks. Together, they make creating beautiful ink blending effortless.
Blending inks together is so easy with the Precision Blender Brushes. I used two colours of Nuvo Hybrid inks - Lime Burst and Dried Oregano.
I masked off an area on a white card base, then covered with the Twisting Circles stencil.
I used one of the larger oval head Precision Blender Brushes to add some Lime Burst ink over the stencil first, then blended on some of the Dried Oregano ink. As both inks are green, I didn’t need to clean the brush in between colours.
Here’s my finished card, using some adorable images from the Sammy Takes it Easy stamp set.
The images are coloured with Nuvo Alcohol markers.
The Precision Blender Brushes in the smaller sizes are perfect for more detailed work.
I layered the Dancing Petals Mosaic stencil over part of a white card base.
This stencil is very detailed and has lots of smaller areas for adding colour. The Precision Blender Brushes allowed me to easily blend different colours of hybrid ink on to these areas.
I used two colours of Nuvo Hybrid inks - Pink Sherbet, Lotus Flower and Panama Rose.
To finish my card, I added a strip of Pistachio Green Classic card along the edge of the stencilled area, then stamped a sentiment from the Flowers for You stamp set underneath.
The various sizes of Precision Blender Brushes available make it easy to add colour to a stamped background.
I stamped the Flora Background stamp with the Nuvo Black Shadow ink onto white card. Using the larger Precision Blender Brushes with the Nuvo Hybrid inks, I added pinks to the flowers.
The slimmer Precision Blender Brushes are perfect for adding ink to smaller areas, like the leaves on this background stamp.
Here's my finished card using this soft coloured background.
I adhered the panel to a white card base, then added a die cut With Love Sentiment strip, die cut from vellum and Fuchsia Pink Classic card.
Have a lovely day,
Gemma
