Hello, everyone! This month’s craft kit, Sweet Heart Bouquet, offers such a beautiful die set. The set will create A2 size card fronts with gorgeous intricacy quickly and easily. The craft kit also includes photopolymer stamps, varied papers in a beautiful soft palette, a Silver Service 6x6 paper pad, and several different types of Nuvo products! Let’s jump right in!
Part 1 - Making the card background
Step 1
I will begin by die cutting the Sugar Crystal glitter paper with the larger scalloped rectangle die. Then die cutting the Luna Silver paper with the larger scalloped rectangle and one of the inlay plate dies. Make sure to tape the dies as not to move while die cutting.
Step 2
Adhere the two layers together. Set aside.
Part 2 - Creating a Sentiment Topper
Step 1
Next, I will take the medium scalloped rectangle and cut it into a piece of Holo Waves paper. I will then use that same die with the two smaller inlay strips and cut them into the less textured side of the lightest color Classic Card. The two smaller inlays have different patterns, I am using them together…but you can definitely use the same die twice if you want the same pattern above and below your sentiment.
Step 2
Now, I will use Clear Mark Ink to stamp the “Thank You” sentiment in the area not cut by the inlay dies.
Step 3
Then, sprinkle the ink with the Classic Silver embossing powder. Use a heat tool to set.
Step 4
Lastly, I will glue the topper pieces together.
Part 3 - Finishing the Card
Step 1
Adhere the background to an A2 size card base. I created a black card base by cutting a piece of paper to 5 ½” by 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, and folded in half.
Step 2
Add dimensional adhesives to the back of the sentiment topper, and adhere to the card front.
Step 3
Finish off with a few Nuvo drops in Peppermint Candy! I like to make the drops different sizes, this can be done by squeezing for different amounts of time or with different amounts of pressure for each drop. Allow the drops to dry completely.
This month’s craft kit makes gorgeous cards in minutes! I still can’t get over the intricacy and ease!!! Have fun making your gorgeous, Sweet Heart Bouquet, cards and projects!
