How to Create a One Layered Floral Card – Tutorial – Galina Filippenko

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I was travelling around my country ( Poland ) and I couldn’t wait to go back to my craft table.

Today, I want to share with you a clean and simple card and to make it I have applied one of my favourite techniques. This technique is called “masking” and it will allow you can easily create amazing backgrounds using stamped images.

For this card, I decided to use two floral Stamps from Magnificent Magnolia Stamp Set as its images are easy to colour so I also had a lot of fun with my Nuvo markers.

Please, enjoy my video tutorial to get inspired and find more information about the cardmaking process.

If you want to use Nuvo alcohol markers and Nuvo Hybrid inks, I recommend to use Craft Perfect – Ultra Smooth cardstock, it’s a perfect cardstock for both these mediums. The inks blend really well on this paper.

To create the sentiment I used Will’s Hand “Love” die set. I cut out the first layer from gold glitter cardstock and the second layer from regular white cardstock.

I also wanted to create berries on the small floral bunches so I used crystal Nuvo drops to create tiny dots.

To finish, I embellish my card with new Dream Drops – Cloud 9. I add dots all over it.

Have you ever tried this technique?

Hope you like it and this bright card. Have a great day and see you soon!

Galina
