Hello Crafters!
I am absolutely loving the new holiday release aren’t you? I immediately had all these visions of scenes dancing through my head! I did get to use one idea here, but I have so many more!
However, I know not everyone loves scene cards and that’s okay. each of our individual styles makes card making fun and interesting. Instead, of a full on scene card I decided to go with a clean and simple Christmas.
- I used Siren Blue ink and my blending daubers to create a circle of ink on my cardstock.
- When you ink up your dauber dab some of the ink off on a craft mat or scrap piece of paper.
- Be very light handed and work the color up slowly.
- Once I was happy with my background I heat set it to make sure it would not be wet for the next part.
- I grouped several small snowflakes onto and acrylic block and inked them up with my embossing ink.
- I covered the entire circle with stamped snowflakes.
- Sprinkle on white embossing powder and tap off the excess. Heat set until smooth.
- Stamp your images in alcohol safe black ink on a separate piece of white cardstock.
- Color them up with Nuvo Alcohol markers.
- Outline your images for a bolder outline or leave them as is, your choice!
- Fussy cut images out. Use Black Script pen to color the cut edges.
- Add some foam tape to the back of your images and a sentiment. All Done!
I think it’s super clean and I love that. There are so many images that can be combined together to create a completely different look! It’s definitely a great way to make sure all the images in your set get a little love
You can watch the entire card from start to finish in the video below.
Thank you guys so much for joining me!
Have a great weekend!
